Cheese garlic mashed potato

Ingredients -
- 1.4 kg potatoes
- 120 ml hot milk
- 120 g plain cheese
- 50 g chopped spring onions
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 3 tsp butter
- 60 g graded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cloves , garlic ( crushed )
Directions to prepare -
1- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water , bring to the boil .
2- Reduce the heat to medium flame and simmer the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes , Drain and return to pot.
3- Preheat the oven to 190 C / or lightly grease the baking dish.
4- Combine the milk , cream cheese , spring onions , egg , butter, garlic and salt together in a bowl.
5- Add milk mixture to potatoes in the pot , mash together until mixture is smooth.
6- Spoon into the prepared baking dish.
7- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and remaining spring onions.
8- Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned , about 40 minutes.
