Schezwan Sauce
This sauce is a fusion of Indo-Chinese recipe with lot of dried chili , ginger and garlic. Basically, a spicy dipping sauce for chips and fries.
Ingredients-
- 2 cup dried red chilies
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tsp oil
- 2 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
- 2 tsp garlic ( finely chopped)
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 2 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3 tsp corn flour paste
- 2 tsp tomato sauce
- salt to taste
Direction to prepare-
- Soak dried red chilies in a hot water until they turn soft.
- Drain the water and blend in a blender in a smooth and fine paste.
- Take a pan , heat a oil and add ginger , garlic saute it for a minute.
- Add red chili paste mix it well for 2 minutes.
- Now add water to adjust the consistency . Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- Now add soya sauce , vinegar , black pepper , sugar corn flour paste , tomato sauce and salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients well and saute it for 5-6 minutes.
- Schzewan sauce is ready to serve as a dipping for snacks.
You can store sauce in a air tight container for 10-15 days.
